Your place to speak freely about LS.

I still have my LolliShop open.
But I have reopened my Etsy shop.

The main thing I am thinking is that:
when I was accepted as a vendor and closed my etsy shop I wasn't worried that Etsy would close my account. Now, I am worried about saying anything (on my blog etc) in case Sadie sees it and decides that I am not supporting that place.

Also, two people that I considered friends have completely different views.

One was very supportive and promoting LS a LOT. But closed there LS to stay at Etsy and got a horrible email from Sadie.

The other is against this forum, and is sticking with LS.

I would like to keep my LShop open - maybe not as many items and not pay as much. And keep my Etsy shop open too. At the start of the week, I thought I would just give Etsy another shot and see what the views are like.

My LS views have dropped about 60% in one day!!

But my mind keeps going back to the thought that since I don't want to write this on my blog (incase my LS store gets closed) then that's a big reason NOT to stay at LS.

But.... I have made some great sales through LS. More than I had at Etsy.

Have I confused anyone? Does this actually make sence??

I really miss the forums (Guild) too. Most of my views came from there and I loved the community feel. Now it's gone.

I'm going to have a quick smoke before I work on some things.

I do not understand why people feel like they have to quit one site in order to sell on another, or why any site owner would be upset at you if you stayed on the site you were selling on before they created their site. I am still on Etsy, I would never dream of leaving (they would have to drag me kicking and screaming, I love Etsy.)

Stay on LS and let your listing fees expire and add up your sales and see if its worth it to stay there. I think that is a decision only you can make. And I also think it would be wrong for any site owner to delete you on a whim after investing in their site like that.

This is really a sticky situation. As you are getting good sales on LS until now, I would give it another month to see how things develop. But, by all means, re-open your etsy account and don't have all your eggs in one basket.

I don't blame you for being confused.....did you realize THOUGH that you are afraid to even post your very own opinion to your very own blog??!?

If I could not post my own opinions with fear of reprisal from Sadie then I think I am better off without her!

Good luck in whatever you decide to do!! Seriously!

NotReallyHere,

Staying or leaving any venue is truly a matter of choice. If you're getting lots of views and sales from LS, by all means, it makes sense to stay there. Your loyalty should be to you and your family and if staying in LS brings in extra income, I am all for staying.

I quit smoking ... =/

This is pretty much the first time that I post anything about Lollishops. I purchased a store, but never listed anything. If I'm lucky Sadie will just boot me out. I want nothing to do with Lollishops.
